Looking for something special to do with your sweetie this Valentines Day?

Orlandos popular socializing, fund raising event is back, Wine on Wednesday. The 2012 Wednesday event is being hosted by Brio Tuscan Grille in the Winter Park Village. The wine tasting series starts in February and continues until the Wednesday before the finale event, Art of the Vine, April 3 2012. These events help to raise money for New Hope for Kids, an organization that grants wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening illness and provides support for families.

Fund raisers are a great way to support local Orlando organizations while having a nice evening out. During the months of February, March and April, you will find a wide variety of fundraising events in the Orlando area, including events to support the Albin Polasek Museum, Cystic Fibrosis, Central Floridas Homeless, Easter Seals, United Way and The Buoniconti Fund.

Five writers from across the United States will take part in the Winter With the Writers, A Festival of the Literary Arts at Rollins College in Winter Park. The 2012 season will feature a diverse mix of authors, including three-time Pulitzer Prize-nominee and best-selling novelist Carl Hiaasen. This award-winning series brings renowned writers to campus to share their work and expertise with students and the community for several decades.
